Welcome to Fable Journal. These terms govern your use of fablejournal.com ("Fable Journal", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Fable Journal, you agree to them.
Fable Journal is a journaling service. You speak or type a note, and our software — with the help of artificial intelligence — turns it into a written journal entry stored in your private journal.
You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Fable Journal.
Your journal entries belong to you. We claim no ownership of anything you write or say in Fable Journal. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service: storing your entries, and sending your notes to our AI provider to generate your entries, letters, and search answers. We never sell your content and never use your journal to advertise to you.
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the website, and through your Apple ID when you subscribe inside the iOS app. Any free trial or introductory offer is shown at checkout before you are charged, and the price and renewal date are shown with it. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period. Subscriptions bought in the app are managed in your Apple ID settings. The free plan is limited to 5 entries, and those entries do not expire.
If something went wrong with a charge, email us within 14 days and we'll make it right — refund requests are handled case by case.
Don't abuse the service: no attempting to access other users' journals, no automated scraping or bulk AI generation, and no using Fable Journal for anything unlawful.
Fable Journal's entries, letters, and answers are generated by AI from your own words. They may occasionally be inaccurate or imperfect. Fable Journal is a journaling tool, not medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice.
We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You can export your entries at any time on paid plans and can delete your account by contacting us.
Fable Journal is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
